Christmas at School

Please excuse the out-of-order posts...

Here is a photo from Matthew's Christmas sing-a-long at school and one from Caleb's as well. As you can see, Matthew got the most coveted spot...on Mrs. Roper's lap (gee, we can't imagine why he was chosen).

That's Caleb's friend, Byron, in the photo with him. It was also "Pajama Day" at school, by the way!

This Christmas

Christmas hit us like a ton of bricks and was over in a flash of crumpled paper and cries of joy.

Because we always video the Christmas morning festivities, Mom completely forgot to take any still photos, so the only ones we have from the big day were from MeMom and Grandpop's house. Check out all of those gifts! We must have really been good this year...

By the way, that is our beautiful Aunt Mia in the picture with Matthew. Isn't she something?

You Can Find Him in Da' Club....

Okay, that title isn't as nearly as funny on the screen as it was in my head, but....

We had brunch with Santa at "The Country Club" on Sunday, the 9th, courtesy of MeMom and Grandpop. Matthew was the most excited of all of the impeccably dressed tykes...running at Santa, arms outstretched to throw around his legs. Caleb was not quite so impressed with the Man in Red, but was thrilled with the delicious spread instead. He ate more smoked salmon than could possibly be healthy.

Seeing Santa definitely brought it home that Christmas is just around the corner!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

We had our first snowfall of the year on December the 4th. Imagine that...after such a scorching Summer and sweltering Fall, we had real, honest to goodness, ground-covering SNOW!! Our outdoor time was pretty limited, since Daddy doesn't get home until after it's dark out and Mommy is a big baby, but we had some serious snowball fighting just the same.

Sadly, there wasn't nearly enough for school to be canceled.

Giving Thanks 2007

Both Caleb and Matthew had Thanksgiving feasts at their respective schools...but we're going to have to make you wait for a photo from Caleb's, as Mommy forgot her camera and is relying on Mrs. Lindenhoffen to pass along a most excellent shot.
Matthew's class wrote down what they were most thankful for, and you'll never guess what he said! How about "my big brother, Caleb"? Not Mommy, not Daddy, heck, not even Santa Claus!

We spent Thanksgiving day itself at MeMom and Grandpop's house, with Uncle Nick, Aunt Mia, Uncle Joe, Aunt Carole, and Uncle Mickey in attendance. We had a fabulous time, of course, and stuffed ourselves on all of the tradtional dishes. We tried to get a family portrait, but this is the best we could manage!

Halloween 2007

Another Halloween has come and gone and we have the pics to prove it. Matty was desperate to be Pikachu last year, but the costume was too hard to come by. This year, we bought it nice and early...only to have him decide on Batman later. Too bad, so sad, Matty!

Caleb had a hard time coming up with his costume this year, but we think his last-minute biker turned out great...very tough.

A personal message from Caleb...
Yeah, good times. The best part was getting laughed at (kinda embarrassing)!

Matthew's 5th Birthday Party

Matty had his party a week ahead of time, on October 21st. Being as Halloween was just a hop, skip & a jump away, we had an easy breezy theme. We had a moonbounce, tomato pie, chips (with salsa from MeMom) and Jones Halloween sodas...yum (okay, kind of yuck, but we're kids, so anything with sugar is all good!).

Unfortunately, Mommy had her digital camera on the wrong setting and all of the pics turned out too blurry. Boo, Mommy!
